Islas Vírgenes Familia Flotilla Invierno 2024

Un recuerdo imborrable para tu familia

Few things we will remember better in our lives than a sunrise in a small bay, opposite Virgin Gorda. They say the old pirates knew what they were doing when they chose the Virgin Islands as the ultimate refuge and hiding place for their treasures. The BVI, as the Caribbean insiders say, still have the aura of "Treasure Islands" today. Ancient navigators said it was "a place to go anywhere".

Sailing conditions in the Virgin Islands are a sailor's dream, with steady easterly winds of 10 to 25 knots. In the months of January and March the wind blows from the NE with an intensity of 15 to 25 knots increasing to 25-30 during squalls. From March to May the wind is normally from the E at 10 to 20 knots. Summer is SE weather and winds are lighter at 10 to 15 knots although squalls are more frequent.

In the Caribbean, the best thing to do is to always keep an eye on what is coming from the east to avoid surprises with a squall that catches you off guard. The whole area of the BVI has a very good infrastructure for recreational sailing, many places where you can get water, fill up with fuel or buy ice. One of the things that sailors like the most in this area is that in all the anchorages there are dead buoys that can be rented for 25$USD per night. This takes the pressure off the anchor in a Caribbean squall at night.

The Virgin Islands have discovered that their best assets are their crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches, a paradise for sailing and snorkelling. Here we have a great offer for you to charter the best and most modern catamarans and sailing yachts with or without crew.
